TWELVE TEAMS FROM around the rugby world are chin deep in their preparation for next month’s Women’s Rugby World Cup in Ireland.
There is sweat and steel being pumped in every nation, but the video posted by the US Navy Seals looked particularly gruelling for 28 of America’s finest rugby players.
On a beach at their San Diego base, the Seals promise the groups going through their drills will leave with improved unity and mental toughness (can I get a Hooyah!)
Clearly, the road to that goal needs a lot of bodyweight dragging, log lifting, bear crawls and repeated sand-coverings.
The USA will take on Italy, Spain and reigning world champions England when the pool stages kick off next month. Let’s hope they look back fondly on their day at the beach.
