NORWICH’S AUTOMATIC PROMOTION hopes took a blow tonight, as they were beaten 1-0 by Middlesbrough.
Alex Tettey’s own goal after eight minutes was enough to seal a Boro victory, sending them top of the Championship in the process.
One of the big talking points from the game was what appeared to be a clear dive from Ireland international Wes Hoolahan (see above).
And predictably, the Twitterati were largely incensed as a result of the midfielder’s actions.

For all the #ncfc fans accusing #Boro of cheating tonight, please rematch Wes Hoolahan's blatant act of cheating just before half time.— Jonathon Taylor (@JonathonTaylor1) April 17, 2015

I'm a fan of Wes Hoolahan, but that's disgraceful. Red cards would stop diving altogether. #Norwich v #Boro— Brighty (@Mark__Bright) April 17, 2015
