Japanese tennis player hits a jaw-dropping shot that would make Roger Federer blush

WHEN YOU’RE DONE hating on Nick Kyrgios, come meet your new favourite tennis player: Yoshihito Nishioka.

Nishioka lit up the Aptos Challenger tournament on Wednesday with this magnificent behind-the-back shot.

The Japanese teen looked to have lost the point against Jared Donaldson but instinctively flicked out his racket and turned a lost cause into a glorious winner.

The stunned commentary (“Oh no… I mean… come on!) only adds to it, as does Nishioka’s ‘Oh you know I just did!’ reaction.

Thank God for the internet otherwise this gem would have probably been witnessed by a couple of hundred people in California and become the stuff of urban legend.
