Barcelona 3-0 Guangzhou Evergrande

REIGNING SPANISH AND European champions Barcelona are in Japan with the aim of capping off an all-conquering 2015 by winning the Fifa Club World Cup.

The La Liga club faced Chinese Super League winners Guangzhou Evergrande, these days managed by former Brazil and Chelsea coach Luiz Felipe Scolair, to earn a place in Sunday’s final with River Plate of Argentina.

Luis Enrique’s men, without the injured Lionel Messi and Neymar, went in front on 39 minutes through Luis Suarez, who followed up a long-range effort from Ivan Rakitic.

The Uruguayan doubled their lead on the 50-minute mark — controlling an exquisite pass from Andres Iniesta on the chest before volleying home.

Barca were handed a penalty on 66 minutes when  Munir El Haddadi was fouled inside the box.

And Suarez stepped up to bag his hat-trick and put the result beyond doubt.
