LIVERPOOL STRIKER DANIEL Sturridge and Manchester United teenager Marcus Rashford have both made the cut for England’s Euro 2016 squad.
The 23-man squad has been finalised this afternoon with Sturridge selected despite recent injury concerns while Rashford’s meteoric rise has continued as he is included.
But there’s no place for Leicester City Premier League winner Danny Drinkwater and Newcastle United winger Andros Townsend as they are the unlucky duo to lose out.
Rashford only made his senior international debut for England last Friday but found the net in the 2-1 friendly win over Australia.
England boss Roy Hodgson previously named a 26-man squad after the conclusion of the Premier League before finalising his 23-man selection today.
Manchester City midfielder Fabian Delph had been shifted to the standby list after suffering an injury.
The exclusion of Drinkwater is a big talking point after his terrific form was a key reason behind Leicester City’s staggering Premier League title win.
