THE GRAND UNVEILING will take place this weekend, but Páirc Uí Chaoimh is now officially open for business after undergoing a significant redevelopment over the past two and a half years.
A dress rehearsal for the All-Ireland quarter-finals is taking place this evening, with Blarney and Valley Rovers having the honour of playing for the first game at the 45,000-capacity stadium.
Their Cork premier intermediate hurling championship third round game will be followed on Saturday by the meeting of Clare and Tipperary, as well as Sunday’s clash between Waterford and Wexford.
Curious Corkonians are out in force…
As expected, the attendance is much bigger than what you’d normally find at an intermediate club game…
