TJ RYAN HAS shaken up his Limerick hurling team for Sunday’s trip to Antrim in Division 1B of the Allianz hurling league.

The Morrissey brothers from Ahane – Dan and Tom – both come into the starting line-up at left half-back and right corner-forward respectively. Tom was a member of last year’s Limerick minor team that reached the All-Ireland final and he makes his starting league debut.

Both players came on as substitutes in last weekend’s draw with Waterford, as did James Ryan who is drafted in at midfield. Sharpshooter Shane Dowling returns from illness and is named at full-forward.

The players to make way include Gavin O’Mahony, who returns to Kilmallock’s squad ahead of their All-Ireland club final on St Patrick’s Day, and Niall Moran, who announced his retirement from the inter-county game this week. Cathal King and Pat Begley also drop out of the starting team.

Injuries continue to prevent Declan Hannon, Kevin Downes, David Breen and Seanie Tobin from being available for selection while Kilmallock’s Paudie O’Brien and Graeme Mulch are also club-tied.
