Munster's James Cronin cited for stamping incident in loss to Leinster

A disciplinary committee will convene on Wednesday to judge the incident involving the prop and Leinster scrum-half Jamison Gibson-Park.

MUNSTER LOOSEHEAD JAMES Cronin has been cited following an incident in Munster’s loss to Leinster at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday.

Cronin has been called to a disciplinary hearing on Wednesday and is charged under Law 10.4 (b). It is alleged he stamped on Leinster scrum-half Jamison Gibson-Park at this 73rd minute ruck.

A two-week ban is the low-end entry point sanction for a player found guilty of stamping or trampling on an opponent. With the middle and top-end entry points carrying a suspension of five and nine weeks respectively.
