BESIDES BEING THE coach of the Real Madrid reserve team, it appears that the job of Zinedine Zidane is to butter up as many potential recruits as possible.
A few weeks ago, the legendary midfielder hinted that Real were keeping tabs on Raheem Sterling and yesterday he had some more interesting comments to make about one of the Premier League’s most consistent performers this season.
“There are players I keep an eye on and who I like a lot, like Messi and Ronaldo,” Zidane said in quotes reported by the BBC.
“They’re fantastic players, but I like Hazard a lot too. I like the way he carries himself. That decisive streak in him and the fact that he’s improving every year. He can still get better too, and I think he’s a big reason why Chelsea are top of the table.”
Madrid already have a fairly packed midfield but Zidane’s comments are still interesting. Liverpool fans everywhere are probably praying that Zizou continues to look at Hazard rather pursue their 20-year-old winger.
