FORMER SHAMROCK ROVERS defender Neil Farrugia has agreed a transfer to Dundee United.
Farrugia, 26, leaves Barnsley after one year at Oakwell, during which he made 30 appearances for the club.
Farrugia has signed with Dundee until the summer of 2028, where he will link up with Irish manager Jim Goodwin.

Elsewhere, Noelle Murray has bounced back from what she described as the “disgraceful” manner in which she was told her time at Shelbourne had come to an end.
The Women’s League of Ireland legend has agreed a deal with champions Athlone Town after an acrimonious departure from Tolka Park.
Murray won five league titles and seven FAI Cups with Shels, scoring over 100 goals in more than 200 appearances.
However, she was informed by the club last month that she was no longer part of their plans and the veteran was aghast at the manner of how her departure was handled.
“I always believed loyalty meant something here. I thought respect went both ways. That’s why the way this has ended feels nothing short of disgraceful.
“After nine years of commitment, sacrifices and playing whatever role I was asked, to be told over a PHONE CALL that I was no longer needed, that there was no place for me in the squad moving forward.
“I can’t pretend it didn’t cut deep. I wasn’t demanding to start every week. I wasn’t expecting special treatment. All I wanted was to stay involved, to contribute in any way I could, because I believed I’d earned at least that much, as this was going to be my final year.”
Murray will now have the opportunity to go out with a bang with the Midlands club.
