OLYMPIC BRONZE MEDALLIST Cian O’Connor and modern pentathlete Natalya Coyle will be officially welcomed home to the village of Ratoath, County Meath this evening.
O’Connor, 33, was one of five Irish medallists in the country’s most successful Games since Melbourne in 1956.
He will be joined at tonight’s celebration by Blue Loyd, the horse he rode to showjumping glory in London’s Greenwich Park.
Twenty-one-year old Coyle brought the curtain down for Team Ireland when she finished ninth in the modern pentathlon, the final event of the Olympics’ 16-day calendar.
