Roscommon go through to the Super 8s following a cracking game. They win on a scoreline of 2-22 to 1-19.

Getting ready for the second qualifier clash at O’Moore Park now:

Tyrone change before throw-in:

Cathal Mc Carron will start in place of Declan Mc Clure.

It’s a beautiful day in Portlaoise but the heat is going to play a factor, meaning both benches are going to be crucial.

Who has the greater strength in depth? Let us know in the comment section below.

There are no last minute changes in the Cork team, they will line out as named.

The national anthem is being played now.

And we are underway!

Cork 0-0 Tyrone 0-0

Brian Hurley earns a close-range free, but Luke Connolly fails to convert.

Cork 0-0 Tyrone 0-0

Cathal McShane hits a long-range shot but he can’t get the distance on it and Mark White deals with the dropping ball.

Cork 0-0 Tyrone 0-1

Niall Sludden opens Tyrone’s account with a lovely score. Tyrone come back on the attack within moments and manufacture a goal opportunity but Mark White gets down low to keep out the shot from Conor Meyler.

Cork 0-1 Tyrone 0-1

Great score from Connolly from a free to settle himself after missing the first one.

Cork 0-1 Tyrone 0-2

Superb individual effort there from Tyrone centre-back Frank Burns. He weaves his way through the Cork defence, executes a lovely dummy and swings it over with his left foot.

Brilliant point to put Tyrone back in front.

Cork 0-1 Tyrone 0-2

Tyrone taking control in the early stages. Peter Harte hits a wide but the Ulster men look a bit more comfortable in possession and are attacking at speed.

Cork 0-1 Tyrone 0-3

Colm Cavanagh is the latest to get his name on the Tyrone scoresheet with a brilliant kick for a point.

Tyrone have just had a goal ruled out, although it seems to be a bizarre call. The referee has given a free to Tyrone, instead of allowing Peter Harte’s goal to stand.

Cork 0-1 Tyrone 0-4

Connor McAliskey does the honours to pop the free over the bar and extend his side’s lead to three after 15 minutes.

Cork 0-1 Tyrone 0-4

Tyrone have created a number of goal chances already. Cathal McShane is the latest to get in near the goal mouth but his final shot is blocked and Cork survive again, but they are struggling to live with Tyrone.

Cork 0-1 Tyrone 0-4

Ferocious tackling from the Tyrone defence to hold up Luke Connolly. The Nemo Rangers man really had nowhere to go, and that typifies the early dominance that Tyrone has in this game.

Cork 0-2 Tyrone 0-4

That’s a crucial score from Ruairi Deane, they needed that. Ian Maguire feeds him the ball and Deane heads down along the end line before measuring the angle well to pop it over.

SAVE!

Cork 0-2 Tyrone 0-4

Brilliant save from Niall Morgan to keep out a shot from Michael Hurley, and Cork now appear to have some life in them.

Seconds later, Luke Connolly tries to sniff out a goal but Morgan smothers the shot. The referee has pulled play back for a free.

Cork 0-4 Tyrone 0-4

And Connolly splits the posts to level the tie.

Cork 0-4 Tyrone 0-5

But just like that, McAliskey gives his side the advantage again after a well-worked move that included Frank Burns.

Meanwhile, Hurley kicks a third wide for Cork.

Cork 0-4 Tyrone 0-6

Great work from Tyrone on the kick-out as Harte collects the break and his side earn a free which Harte scores to put Tyrone two in front.

Cork 0-4 Tyrone 0-6

Cork over-reliant on the hand-passing game and Tyrone’s Padraig Hampsey intercepts a pass and wins a free and they can reset again.

Cork 0-4 Tyrone 0-7

Both sides guilty of laborious and sloppy play. Tyrone punish some poor handling in the Cork forward and work the ball down to Niall Sludden and it’s over the bar.

The three-point lead has been restored.

Cork 0-4 Tyrone 0-7

Cork’s Cian Kelly and Cathal McShane of Tyrone.

Cathal McShane and Cian Kelly Bryan Keane / INPHO Bryan Keane / INPHO / INPHO

Cork 0-4 Tyrone 0-7

Mark Collins does well to fetch a Tyrone kick-out but can’t compliment the effort with his shot at goal.

The game seems a bit lifeless. Both sides committing schoolboy errors.

Cork 0-4 Tyrone 0-7

Harte is tormenting the Cork cover and earns another free for a trip. He’s down receiving treatment and it looks like Tyrone are about to go four in front.

Cork 0-4 Tyrone 0-7

Black Card

Cork full-back Jamie O’Sullivan is dismissed for that challenge on Harte. He will be replaced by Killian O’Hanlon.

Cork 0-4 Tyrone 0-8

McAliskey has no trouble converting the opportunity, although the Sky Sports commentary team aren’t totally convinced O’Sullivan should have gone for a black card.

Cork 0-5 Tyrone 0-8

An important score for Cork there from a Connolly free. It’s their first in 14 minutes as we head towards the break.

Three minutes of added time to be played.

Cork 0-5 Tyrone 0-9

Colm Cavanagh wins the ball for Tyrone. The move results in a point from Cathal McShane who manages to get the shot off under pressure.

A good finish and Tyrone lead by four.

Cork 0-5 Tyrone 0-10

Referee spots a foul in the Cork defence for an apparent tug of the jersey.

Again it’s in an easy position, and McAliskey slots the ball between the posts once more. Cork could be in trouble here.

HT: Cork 0-5 Tyrone 0-10

It’s been all Tyrone in the first half, Cork really need to make a brighter start in the second half to work their way back into contention.

Jim McGuinness reckons the black card was ‘very, very harsh.’

Tryone tackling!

Tryone bringing a lot of intensity to their tackling.

Padraig Hampsey, Cathal McShane, Cathal McCarron and Michael McKernan tackle Luke Connolly James Crombie / INPHO James Crombie / INPHO / INPHO

The second half is underway now!

Cork 0-5 Tyrone 0-11

Brilliant inter-play between Richard Donnelly and Cathal McShane to allow McShane score with his left boot.

That’s not the start Cork would have wanted to the second half.

Neither side appear to have made any changes at half-time.

Cork 0-6 Tyrone 0-11

That’s more like it from Cork as Mark Collins responds with a point to bring his side back to within five of Tyrone.

Cork 0-6 Tyrone 0-12

That’s a fifth point for Connor McAliskey. He’s been solid from the frees all through the game so far and he puts Tyrone six clear.

Cork change

Paul Kerrigan comes in for Stephen Cronin.

Cork 0-6 Tyrone 0-13

Richard Donnelly has been brilliant so far and he scores a point on the turn to put them seven in front.

GOAL! Cork 0-6 Tyrone 1-13 (McAliskey)

Cork 0-8 Tyrone 1-13

Superb finish from McAliskey to drive the shot low and past White, bringing his overall tally to 1-5 so far.

Cork have responded with two points, including a score from Collins but it looks like this game is over as a contest.

Cork 0-8 Tyrone 1-14

Tyrone cut through the Cork defence. A great free-flowing move with Harte popping the ball off to the incoming McAliskey who palms it over the bar.

The lead is now nine points after 47 minutes.

Cork 0-8 Tyrone 1-15

And Frank Burns follows that up with a quick point.

Cork 0-9 Tyrone 1-16

Connolly replies with a free off the ground but you can see that Cork’s game is lacking the pace and speed needed to match that of Tyrone’s as they post another point through McShane.

Cork mood right now

Luke Connolly reacts to a missed chance James Crombie / INPHO James Crombie / INPHO / INPHO

GOAL! Cork 0-10 Tyrone 2-16 (O’Neill)

Cork 0-10 Tyrone 2-16

What an introduction for substitute Ronan O’Neill, who came on for Connor McAliskey. He got on the end of a great Tyrone move and was on hand to palm the ball into the net after Harte fed the ball across to him.

It’s just shooting practice for Mickey Harte’s men now as both sides roll on the subs.

Cork 0-11 Tyrone 2-17

Like Connolly has worked hard all day to keep Cork’s scoreboard moving, although it’s little more than a consolation score at this point following a Tyrone point from Frank Burns.

Cork 0-11 Tyrone 2-18

There’s another free coming up for Tyrone and Cork just look dead on their feet at this stage.

Cork 0-11 Tyrone 2-18

Red Card!

Mark Collins gets a straight red card for an elbow to the face of Conor Meyler. It’s a disappointing end to the day for him after putting in such a good shift for Cork.

Cork 0-11 Tyrone 2-18

Niall Sludden is down on the deck receiving treatment following a shoulder in the back.

Cork 0-11 Tyrone 2-19

Ronan O’Neill taps over a free won by fellow substitute Mark Bradley.

Cork 0-11 Tyrone 2-20

Mattie Donnelly gets his first point of the day but he’s been very impressive for Tyrone throughout and was their highest possession winner.

Cork 0-11 Tyrone 2-20

Donncha O’Connor kicks a seventh wide for Cork and that pretty much sums up their dismal day in Portlaoise.

Cork 0-11 Tyrone 3-20

Mark Bradley slots home Tyrone’s third goal after Conor Meyler drives down along the wing and pops the ball over for the substitute to comfortably slide the ball along the ground and into the net.

Cork 0-11 Tyrone 3-20

The difference is now 18 points and Cork just couldn’t get to grips with Tyrone’s pace and physicality at any stage today really.

There’s six minutes of injury time to be played and we’re into the third minute now.

Cork 0-11 Tyrone 3-20

L for love?

Connor McAliskey celebrates after scoring his sides opening goal James Crombie / INPHO James Crombie / INPHO / INPHO

Cork 0-12 Tyrone 3-20

Luke Connolly scores an eighth free. He’s recovered well to get his frees on target after missing the first one.

Cork 0-13 Tyrone 3-20

Connolly brings that tally up to nine now, as the full-time whistle looms.

FT: Cork 0-13 Tyrone 3-20

A difficult day for Cork, that’s their second comprehensive championship defeat on the bounce and they were never really in contention at any stage.

Meanwhile, Tyrone are looking very strong as they progress to the inaugural Super 8s.

Connor McAliskey, Peter Harte, Frank Burns and Cathal McShane were among those who excelled for Tyrone and they will be a serious prospect in the Super 8s.

Sludden, Donnelly and Cavanagh were also on form.

Luke Connolly put in a solid shift for Cork with 0-9, while Mark Collins also performed well but will be disappointed to end his day with a red card.

A long winter lies ahead for the Ronan McCarthy’s charges.
