Fernando Alonso gives Tifosi something to cheer in Monza

FERRARI have won their first Italian Grand Prix in four years, with Fernando Alonso overtaking Jenson Button to seal victory in an otherwise largely uneventful race at Monza. Lewis Hamilton crashed out in the opening lap after a collision with Felipe Massa, who finished third. Mark Webber (6th) overtakes Hamilton to lead the drivers’ championship, on 187 ahead of Hamilton’s 182. Alonso is third on 166, with Jenson Button on 165 and Sebastian Vettel (4th today) on 163.
