'I'd love to be a one-club man'

Tottenham’s Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen have all been linked with moves to Spain.

TOTTENHAM STAR HARRY Kane has redoubled his commitment to the club after a week where he came under the eye of Real Madrid.

Kane, 24, has been at White Hart Lane since his trainee days, and in the past few seasons the striker has become one of the most prolific frontmen in European football.

A string of impressive campaigns have not gone unnoticed, with none other than Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane labelling him a ‘complete striker” prior to the two sides’ meeting in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Kane has long been linked with following Luka Modric and Gareth Bale in swapping north London for the Spanish capital, but on Friday he appeared to pour cold water on transfer reports by affirming he wants to stay with Spurs.

I’d love to be a one-club man,” the England international explained to reporters ahead of this weekend’s clash with Liverpool.

“It depends on how the club goes forward and managers et cetera, but I’ve said I want to stay here, as we’re in a great place at the moment.

The training centre is amazing, the new stadium is coming, the manager is fantastic and we’ve got a young team. So it’s great.”

Kane is not the only player in the Spurs ranks to attract attention from overseas, with Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen reportedly targets for Madrid’s great rivals Barcelona.

But the striker insists that all three are not interested in leaving Tottenham, and that all want to achieve big things.

Should fans be worried? No, I don’t think so. We’re all very happy here and have signed long-term contracts,” he added.

“Rumours can be compliments as it shows we’re doing good as a team but we don’t take any notice of them, we’ve got a job to do here.”
