SEVEN OF THE Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne team that won the Hogan Cup on Saturday will start for the Kerry minor footballers on Wednesday night.

Jack O’Connor has named his team for the clash against Clare in the first round of the Electric Ireland Munster MFC in Ennis.

Full-back Brian Begley, corner-back Tom O’Sullivan, midfielders Barry O’Sullivan and Mark O’Connor, wing-forward Matthew Flaherty, centre-forward Brian Rayle and corner-forward Cathal Bambury were all part of the victorious team last Saturday in Croke Park. Substitute Tomás Ó Sé was also on that winning colleges team.

Goalkeeper Shane Ryan – who captains the team – Flaherty, wing-forward Micheál Burns and full-forward Killian Spillane all started on the Kerry minor side that won last July’s Munster final against Tipperary.

Wing-back Brian Sugrue came on as a substitute in that game while Burns has big game experience this year after coming on for the injured Colm Cooper during Dr Crokes AIB All-Ireland club semi-final loss to Castlebar Mitchels.
