It’s GAA Football League final weekend and we’re gearing up for the Division 1 showpiece as Kerry face Mayo at 4pm.

Monaghan (Division 2), Offaly (Division 3), and Limerick (Division 4) have so far won titles this weekend. Who’ll  join them in celebrating after the top tier game?

Meath’s David Coldrick is the referee for this one.

Two late Mayo changes from team announced. Conor Reid and Eoghan McLaughlin in, Davitt Neary and Darren McHale don’t start.

32 mins – Kerry increase their advantage through a free from David Clifford, then Mayo counter with a Jordan Flynn point. A sub there for Mayo, Darren McHale in for Conor Reid.

Five in it at the break then in favour of Kerry. Mayo had an opportunity to cut the gap before the break, a two-pointer free attempt from Ryan O’Donoghue drifting wide after Kerry had been punished for only having two players back in defence.

All over then and it’s a comfortable success in the end for Kerry. Once Paul Geaney grabbed the first half goal, Kerry hit the front on the scoreboard with Mayo unable to claw back the deficit.

Jack O’Connor’s fifth league title as Kerry manager. The four previous wins (2004, 2006, 2009 and 2022) all came in seasons that culminated in Kerry All-Ireland senior wins. They are next out in the Munster semi-final on Saturday 19 April against Cork or Limerick, while Mayo face Sligo in their Connacht opener next Sunday 6 April.
