MAYO FANS SEEM to be doing a good job of keeping a lid on the excitement ahead of the All-Ireland final — but some things just can’t be helped.
The Mayo News have outdone themselves with a 64-page supplement to preview Sunday’s clash with the Dubs.
And, no matter what your county colours are, the front cover is a thing of absolute beauty.
Above the headline “Unstoppable? We’ll see about that!”, it shows Dubs boss Jim Gavin driving a dump truck down the centre of the Croke Park pitch, while Aidan O’Shea tries to wrestle Sam Maguire from Philly McMahon’s grasp.
Only five more sleeps until Sunday. At least we’ll have plenty to read in the meantime.
