FORMER IRELAND INTERNATIONAL Paul McGrath has been arrested on public disorder charges, it has emerged.

The 53-year-old was arrested at the Tullamore Court Hotel in Offaly over the weekend, after guests complained of a man being disruptive.

After being charged under Sections 4 and 6 of the Public Order Act, McGrath was bailed following his arrest, and is due back in court on 17 July.

The former centre back, who earned 83 Ireland caps during an illustrious career, has had well-documented alcohol problems in recent years.

A spokesperson for the hotel was unavailable for comment when contacted by TheScore.ie.
