You know the way New Zealand has more sheep than people? The Chiefs use it to their advantage

No wonder they won back-to-back Super Rugby titles with such sophisticated training methods.

NEW ZEALAND IS known as a breeding ground for the best rugby players in the world but they are even better at sheep farming. There are apparently 11 sheep to every 1 person in the country so if there’s ever a mutiny, the humans are in trouble.

But the Chiefs have used the surplus of livestock in their favour as they prepare for the upcoming Super Rugby season. This must be what people mean when they say a rugby player has farm strength.

The provinces need to get creative with their training too. Maybe the Leinster team should take a trip down to Sean O’Brien’s farm in Carlow.
