According to The Sunday World, the former United man has told the FAI to add his name to the shortlist once Trap leaves.

AN ARTICLE TODAY in The Sunday World suggests Roy Keane is interested in becoming the next Ireland manager.

The paper reports that Keane has told FAI officials to add his name to the shortlist once Giovanni Trapattoni leaves the job.

Moreover, the ex-Manchester Uunited player is quoted as saying: “I’d like the opportunity to get back in [managing] and I certainly would not rule out coming back to live in Cork. It has crossed my mind.”
