We’ve already seen Patrick Reed and Brooks Koepka claim the first two Majors of the year while Jordan Spieth is the defending Open champion after winning at Royal Birkdale last July, three shots ahead of Matt Kuchar.

It’s the first time the Open has been played at Carnoustie since 2007 when Padraig Harrington triumphed in a play-off against Sergio Garcia, while previously back in 1999 it was Paul Lawrie who won out in a play-off after French golfer Jean van de Velde notably squandered a three-shot advantage on the 18th hole of his final round.

Dustin Johnson is the favourite at Carnoustie this week with Spieth and Rickie Fowler other leading contenders from the USA while Justin Rose, Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood will spearhead the European challenge.

But who do you think will be celebrating on Sunday evening? Let us know.

The Open Championship 2018 Package Jordan Spieth is the reigning champion at Carnoustie this week.
