The Morning Score: Friday

Here’s everything you need to know this morning. Now, who’s got the coffee on?

1. #PRO12 Both Brian McLaughlin and Tony McGahan have rung the changes ahead of this evening’s Rabodirect Pro12 meeting between Ulster and Munster at Ravenhill.

With both provinces’ international stars attending a national training camp, McLaughlin has named a completely different Ulster XV to the one which lost against Leinster on St Stephen’s Day while McGahan has kept just three of the side which beat Connacht.

2. #PREMIER LEAGUE Andy Carroll looks set to start against his old club this evening when Newcastle travel to Anfield to take on Liverpool in the day’s only Premier League fixture.

Yesterday, Reds boss Kenny Dalglish warned against piling too much expectation on Steven Gerrard who is in line to make his first start in two months tonight after recovering from an ankle injury.

3. #DARTS Ally Pally giantkiller Dave Chisnall has crashed out of this year’s PDC World Championships.

Chisnall, who stunned Phil Taylor earlier this week to qualify for the last 16, lost 4-0 to Andy Hamilton last night.

4. #GUNNERS Arsenal are currently ironing out the final details of a two-month loan deal to bring Gunners legend Thierry Henry back to North London.

Speaking to the media this morning, Arsene Wenger confirmed that the loan would be processed as soon as the MLS sign off on Henry’s move.

5. #LEOPARDSTOWN Dermot Weld’s Unaccompanied could bolster the Irish challenge in the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham next March following her convincing win in the Istabraq Festival Hurdle yesterday.

The four-year-old mare came home second in last season’s Triumph Hurdle and could be ready to step up to one of the festival’s blue riband events this time around, Weld said yesterday.
