Three arrests made at last night's Ireland-Poland game

The Gardaí have said that the majority of Polish fans at the game were “well-behaved”.

A TOTAL OF three males were arrested during last night’s game between Ireland and Poland, a spokesperson for the Gardaí has confirmed.

They said there were a “small number of incidents” at the match last night, and TV cameras showed several flares being extinguished by Dublin Civil defence throughout the game.

The spokesperson added that those who had caused trouble had been cautioned, but emphasised that the majority of Polish fans at the game were “well-behaved”.

Previous reports had indicated that up to 30 fans had been arrested as a result of crowd trouble, but such claims have subsequently been dismissed.
