WATCH: Man City youngster Guidetti gets sent off for celebrating
It looks like Roberto Mancini’s side may have yet another eccentric striker on their hands.

JOHN GUIDETTI, the Man City youngster who is currently on loan at Feyenoord, went from hero to villain literally within a matter of seconds yesterday.

After he scored a penalty to put Feyenoord 1-0 ahead against RKC Waalwijk, the player (who was already on a booking) gave the referee no other option than to send him off after he removed his shirt as part of his goal celebration.

And after the game, Feyenoord manager Ronald Koeman bluntly stated: “I am very angry,” while Guidetti told reporters:

“I feel terrible. I apologised to my teammates, I hope they can forgive me.”

The rule in which a player is automatically booked for removing his shirt is routinely condemned by players and pundits.

It is believed to have been imposed in order to lessen the chances of players revealing T-shirts with advertising slogans beneath their jerseys.
