SPEAKING EARLIER TODAY, having just signed for Manchester United, Robin van Persie said the following to the assembled press:
“In these situations, when you have to make a hard decision in your life, I always listen to that little boy inside me. What does he want? That boy was screaming for Manchester United.”
However, after Van Persie made this rather idealistic-sounding claim, the above photo then emerged, appearing to show a young RVP as a die-hard Arsenal fan.
Perhaps he meant United were his boyhood club in the Robbie Keane sense – i.e. not at all really.
