Sheridan enhances reputation in Poland with Europa League match-winner

The Cavan man found the net against Georgian side Dinamo Batumi.

CILLIAN SHERIDAN HAS continued his impressive goal-scoring form for Jagiellonia Bialystok by grabbing the winner in their Europa League qualifier first-leg tonight.

Sheridan’s strike on 49 minutes proved the difference in the Polish side’s clash at Georgian outfit Dinamo Batumi.

The Cavan native, 28, has impressed since making the move to Poland last season, finding the net eight times in 14 league appearances as Jagiellonia Bialystok just missed out on the league title.

The former Celtic, St Johnstone and Kilmarnock striker has yet to earn a recall to the Ireland international fold but continues to put his hand up with one of the strongest club sides in Poland.
