WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO AND Tyson Fury appeared together on ‘The Gloves Are Off’ last night on Sky Sports ahead of their highly-anticipated bout later this month.

Klitschko will be aiming for his 23rd consecutive victory when he puts his plethora of heavyweight world titles on the line against Fury in Düsseldorf on Saturday, 28 November.

In a show which was hosted by former world champion Johnny Nelson (who hardly got a word in), Klitschko and Fury broke down each other’s strengths and weaknesses in a fascinating exchange. While it wasn’t as fiery as their previous encounters — they even shook hands afterwards — the conversation was no less intriguing.

“This young man definitely needs a lesson in behaviour, which I’ll be happy to give him. I’ve done it a couple of times. I’m an experienced therapist and I’ve seen a lot of things,” said Klitschko, who reiterated his belief that undefeated 27-year-old Fury has “taken this fight too early”.

“But I also see something new and different in Tyson, so that means adjustment in my therapy. But I’m sure it’s not a desperate thing. I’m going to make him a better person.”

Fury also elaborated on a story he has mentioned previously, explaining how he and Klitschko were in a sauna together five years ago. Fury claimed that he stayed in the sauna for 40 minutes until Klitschko got out, in order to claim “a mental victory”.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about… seriously,” said Klitschko, whose memory of the incident wasn’t quite as clear as Fury’s.
