Shane Enright goes down with an injury and is replaced by Jonathan Lyne. Kerry will miss him in defence.

The referee penalises Dean Rock for taking too much time over a free and decides to throw the ball in.

Lots of off-the-ball stuff in Tralee so far. Kerry look determined to impose themselves physically on the game.

Donegal 0-4 Tyrone 0-4

18 mins – Peter Harte kicks two scores to bring Tyrone level.

Tadhg Morley and Ciaran Kilkenny scuffle off the ball, and both go into the referees book with yellows.

Remember, Kerry are playing against a strong breeze and these constant stoppages suit them.

YELLOW CARDS! Cluxton and Geaney make it four players who have been booked so far.

QUESTION – What did you make of off-the-ball scuffles in Tralee so far tonight?

Let us know in the comments section and we’ll pick out the best ones.

Some of your comments so far:

Paul Scanlon: “No love lost between these two. The fiercest rivalry in football. This is a battle.”

Camroc: “Kerry came to out this evening for a fight rather than to play football. It’s working for them so far, but hopefully this means they can come down off their high horse when criticising other county’s style of football. Realistically that’s unlikely.”

Half-time talking points from Kerry-Dublin

  • No love lost - We’ve witnessed countless scuffles around the field, as four Kerry players and two Dubs have picked up yellows. Eamonn Fitzmaurice was furious after Adrian Spillane was caught with an elbow off-the-ball.
  • Reliance on frees - Paul Geaney (0-2), Peter Crowley and Conor McHugh are the only players to score from play so far, as placed balls appear to be the order of the night.
  • Finely poised - Kerry will play with a strong breeze at their backs in the second-half, as they look to end Dublin’s two-year unbeaten run. Both sides have strong benches which we’ll see in the second-period, with the likes of Bernard Brogan and Darran O’Sullivan held in reserve.

INPHO_01182891

Cian O’Sullivan replaces Davy Byrne at half-time. John Small reverts to the wing and O’Sullivan takes up his usual position at 6.

Stephen O’Brien comes in for Jack Savage. Kerry will look to his ball carrying ability for the second period.

Some more of your comments:

Ciara Baines: ”7 yellows already and we’re only 30 mins in. It’s only a matter of time before the card changes colour to a red or a black.”

Kate Flaherty: “Never underestimate the kingdom….”

Kerry 0-6 Dublin 0-5

37 mins – Geaney strokes over a free.

Down 0-3 Kildare 0-5

36 mins – Feely’s third free of the night gives Kildare a two-point lead.

GOAL! David Slattery hits the net for the Kingdom in the 36th minute. He’s only just come on as a sub!

Donegal 0-9 Tyrone 0-5

38 mins – Sean Cavanagh curls over a free to bring Tyrone within four.

Kerry 0-8 Dublin 0-5

40 mins – Kerry are starting to roll now. Geaney and Moran hit a score apiece to stretch their lead to three.

MISS! Geaney will be disappointed with his miss from that free. He should have put Kerry four in front there.

Kerry 0-9 Dublin 0-5

44 mins -  Kevin McCarthy stretches Kerry’s lead to four. Jim Gavin introduces Paul Flynn and Kevin McManamon.

Down 0-5 Kildare 1-5

43 mins – Caolan Mooney reduces the gap to three.

Meanwhile in Donegal-Tyrone….

Niall Scully and Michael Darragh Macauley withdrawn by Dublin.

Half-time

Carlow 1-5 Waterford 0-5

Paul Broderick has posted 1-3 for Carlow, while Waterford have hit seven wides.

Donegal 0-11 Tyrone 0-5

47 mins – Thompson and McHugh hit scores for Donegal. They’re well in control.

Kerry 0-9 Dublin 0-7

49 mins – Dublin’s first score of the second-half comes from a Rock free.

CHANCE! Last ditch defending from Kerry as Griffin makes a superb stop on the line to deny Dublin a goal. Extraordinary save by Kealey too. Rock sends over a free to leave two between them.

Kerry 0-9 Dublin 0-8

53 mins – Kerry’s lead is down to one. McHugh points from a standing position.

Kerry 0-9 Dublin 0-9

53 mins – Dublin have pulled it level. Substitute O’Gara is on target.

A spate of All-Ireland medal winners being unleashed by both managers off the bench. This is super stuff.

Kerry 0-9 Dublin 0-10

56 mins – That’s five in a row for the Dubs. Rock’s latest free gives them the lead.

GOAL! David Slattery, a half-time sub, has bagged his second goal for the away side. Incredible impact.

It’s been 15 minutes since Kerry have scored.

Donegal 0-12 Tyrone 0-5

58 mins – McFadden stretches Donegal’s lead to seven.

Kerry 0-10 Dublin 0-11

60 mins – Rock points a free that McHugh won. At the far end Geaney likewise converts a placed ball.

Kerry 0-11 Dublin 0-11

63 mins – Another close up free is converted by Geaney after a great run by Darran O’Sullivan.

A first score in 19 minutes for Kerry has turned into 3 in a row. They’ve really struggled down the stretch against Dublin but not tonight. Kerry are looking the stronger now.

Kerry 0-12 Dublin 0-11

64 mins – Kerry lead! Barry John Keane finds himself in space and splits the posts.

YELLOW CARDS! Donnchadh Walsh and Michael Geaney go into the book. That’s eight for Kerry and three for Dublin.

Bernard Brogan enters the fray. It’s his first appearance of 2017. He replaces Conor McHugh.

Bernard Brogan Cathal Noonan / INPHO Cathal Noonan / INPHO / INPHO

MISS! With two minutes on the clock Rock sends a very scoreable free wide.

Kerry 0-13 Dublin 0-2

70 mins – We’re into four additional minutes of stoppage-time. Walsh clips one over for the Kingdom, but the visitors respond immediately through a free from Rock.

Donegal 0-12 Tyrone 0-6

70 mins – Cavanagh’s free leaves six between them.

YELLOW CARD! This time it’s O’Gara who goes into the book for a clumsy foul on Crowley. A minute to play.

Kerry 0-13 Dublin 0-13

73 mins – A terrible mistake by Kerry who give away cheap possession and Paul Mannion brings Dublin back on level terms.

RED CARD! Ciaran Kilkenny is dismissed after picking up a second yellow.

IT’S ALL OVER! Dublin’s unbeaten run goes to 34 games and they’ve equalled Kerry’s record from 1933.

Arguably the greatest asset of this Dublin team is their mental strength. They simply refuse to lose. That was some game.

Full-time scores

Donegal 0-12 Tyrone 0-6
Down 0-10 Kildare 2-9

Carlow 2-9 Waterford 0-5
