Snapshot: Wee Rory McIlroy peers over the wall to watch Ulster beat Leicester

‘Uncle Stevie’ Ferris brought the wee man along to Ravenhill last night.

SO, BY NOW the whole country knows that Rory McIlroy is in town and everyone wants to bask in his reflective glory.

After a brief meeting with Bill Clinton, the former world number one headed back through his native Down and up to Ravenhill to catch Ulster’s Heineken Cup win over Leicester Tigers.

The cameramen at the game were forced to reach for the long lenses to get a glimpse of him in the player’s box of the redeveloped Ravenhill.

He didn’t appear to have his usual security team; I guess Adam Macklin, John Afoa and Stephen Ferris will do as stand-ins.

On the other hand, it looks more like Uncle Steve and his mates allowed wee Paddy and Rors to tag along to the game – ah, would ya look at the pair of them on their tippy toes trying to look over the wall.

‘Just don’t tell your ma you had them crisps, right?’
