IRISH MIDFIELDER RICHIE Towell made his debut, as Rotherham United picked up a 1-0 win over Portsmouth on Sunday.
Jon Taylor’s goal earned his team a first away win in 27 matches, as they climbed to 12th in the League One table.
Towell, who recently joined the Millers on loan from Brighton, replaced former Ireland B international Lee Frecklington in the 90th minute.
The ex-Dundalk star has joined Rotherham until the end of the season, having found first-team football hard to come by with the Seagulls.
Two other former League of Ireland players, meanwhile, are currently part of table toppers Peterborough’s squad, though both Chris Forrester and Conor O’Malley were unused subs during their side’s 0-0 draw with Doncaster on Saturday.
