ROBBIE KEANE HAS picked his best Ireland XI from his time with the national side and it contains very few current players.
The LA Galaxy striker is currently combining his day job with his role as a supporter of the Ireland team at the Special Olympics World Games and, speaking to Today FM, he gave some insight into the best players he has played with at international level.
It is — to quote one member of The42 team — a “very old-fashioned” team with just three players, including Keane himself, still working under Martin O’Neill.
He has gone for the ‘big ‘un, little ‘un’ combination up front alongside Niall Quinn and Mark Kinsella is perhaps the surprise choice alongside Roy Keane in midfield.
