IRELAND SQUAD MEMBERS Alan Browne and Callum Robinson were both on the scoresheet as Preston North End were held 2-2 at home to Bolton Wanderers in the Championship on Saturday.
23-year-old Robinson handed the Lilywhites the lead after 11 minutes with his first goal of the season, rounding goalkeeper Ben Alnwick before sliding the ball into the back of the net.
The Northampton-born striker declared in March that he wished to represent Ireland through his maternal grandmother, and was called into Martin O’Neill’s squad for the first time for May’s friendly against Celtic in Glasgow.
Browne doubled his side’s advantage just five minutes later, executing a stunning volley which flew into the top corner after controlling the ball with his chest.
Absolute beauty of a goal from Alan Browne. Should have sealed the points. pic.twitter.com/crZGRJPMjA

The former Cork City midfielder was last season named Player of the Season at Deepdale, on top of winning the club’s Goal of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season accolades.
Alex Neil’s side failed to hold onto their advantage, however, with second half goals courtesy of Sammy Ameobi and Pawel Olkowski earning the visitors an important point.
Saturday’s draw sees Preston fall to 18th place in the Championship, with just one win from their opening six games this season.
