O'Neill, O'Connor and Cadogan to start for Cork's McGrath Cup trip to Tipp

Rebels manager Brian Cuthbert has made seven personnel changes to his team for Sunday.

THE CORK TEAM to play Tipperary in this Sunday’s McGrath Cup quarter-final in Clonmel (2.00pm) shows seven personnel changes from their rout of Mary Immaculate College.

Despite easing to a 37-point win to set up this weekend’s quarter-final meeting with the Premier County, manager Brian Cuthbert has changed things up by drafting in the likes of 2010 All-Ireland winning trio Colm O’Neill, Donncha O’Connor and Eoin Cadogan.

All three got in on the scoring act after being introduced as half-time substitutes against Mary Immaculate College last Sunday, contributing a total 0f 2-7 between them to Cork’s final tally of 7-20.

O’Neill will be at full-forward in place of John Hayes, while O’Connor has been named at centre-forward. John O’Rourke moves from the centre to left-half forward, Colm O’Driscoll is in for his brother Kevin on the right, and Dan McEoin will take Fiachra Ó Deasunaigh’s place at right-corner forward.

Pádraig Hodnett is replaced at centre-back by Cadogan, with Tom Clancy and James Loughrey added to the full-back line at the expense 0f Liam Jennings and Noel Galvin.

Tipperary have yet to name their side. The winners will face Waterford or CIT in the McGrath Cup semi-finals on the weekend of 18 January.
