Ex-Wales star and BBC commentator Davies arrested on assault charges

The star has been cautioned after getting involved in a scuffle in the early hours of Sunday morning.

EX-WELSH INTERNATIONAL Jonathan Davies has been cautioned after being arrested on assault charges.

An incident involving Davies is believed to have taken place in the early hours of last Sunday morning.

According to reports, he was arrested after becoming involved in a scuffle with another man outside the William Hancock pub in Swansea.

Officers refused to give details of the incident, but said:

“It was not a serious incident. It was one of those things where somebody has a go at someone and they have a go back.”

A spokesperson for the BBC – the organisation that Davies now commentates on matches for – declined to elaborate on the issue, stating: “We do not comment on personal matters.”

Davies has represented Wales in both rugby codes, and won the RFL’s Man of Steel Award in 1994.
