Irish boxers prepare to compete in European Women's Championships

The squad are due to arrive in Holland on Saturday, with the tournament beginning on Monday.

KATIE TAYLOR, KATIE Rowland and Michela Walsh will be among the Irish names competing in next week’s European Women’s Championships in Holland.

Taylor will be looking to secure her fifth 60kg gold medal on the trot.

Meanwhile, youngsters Katie Rowland and Michaela Walsh have also been included in the squad, having secured bronze medals in the 2011 AIBA World Youth Championships.

Taylor travelled to Holland this morning, while the rest of the squad will join her on Saturday.

The tournament, which is being hosted by the Dutch Boxing Association, begins on Monday.
