Irishman John Griffin and his friends seemingly stumbled upon the Brazilian legend in a game of Chatroulette recently, and posted a video of the experience online.
Speaking to TheScore.ie, he recounted the events that led to the chance encounter.

“We were playing a bit of FIFA,” he said. “And were on chat roulette for about 10-15 minutes. There was one guy left over.
“A guy came up on the screen and it said ‘location: Brazil.’”
The guy in question was apparently former Brazil footballer and ex-FIFA Player of the Year Ronaldo, and Griffin took a screenshot of the event and subsequently posted the chance meeting on YouTube in an attempt to prove its veracity.
So what did the Brazilian player, whose grasp of the English language is understood to be limited, have to say for himself?
“He said ‘I love you guys’.
“He was on for about one minute — he could hear everything we said.
“He didn’t say much [else].”
While Griffin admitted he could not confirm that the person’s identity was that of the ex-Barcelona, AC Milan and Real Madrid player, he described how everything about the encounter seemed “relatively legit”.
He added that he was further convinced when one of his friends found another online video of Ronaldo and other Brazil players on Chatroulette.
