FOLLOWING HIS CONTROVERSIAL remarks regarding racism, a number of high-profile figures in football – including PFA chief Gordon Taylor and Rio Ferdinand – have called on Sepp Blatter to resign as FIFA President.
However Blatter remains as indefatigable as ever despite the widespread criticism he has received, insisting he has no intentions to resign from his post and defending his actions.
Yet criticism of the Swiss-born President has persisted, with David Beckham being the latest high-profile name to condemn Blatter’s behaviour.
Of course, it is not the first time he has provoked controversy – when FIFA became embroiled in a corruption scandal last season, it seemed as if Blatter’s days were numbered, yet he was once again elected unopposed as President.
With all this in mind, do you think he should resign as FIFA president?
