Praise for Sean Boylan's DCU role - 'He's a gentleman and we're thrilled to have him'

The four-time All-Ireland winning manager with Meath is helping out tomorrow’s Sigerson Cup finalists.

LEGENDARY FORMER MEATH boss Sean Boylan has been lauded for his contribution in helping DCU reach tomorrow’s Sigerson Cup final.

Long-serving DCU manager Niall Moyna roped in Boylan as part of his management team this year.

The addition has helped DCU after they picked up victories in Belfast over Jordanstown and St Mary’s before yesterday’s dramatic semi-final win over UCD

And Moyna has heaped praise upon the role played by the four-time All-Ireland senior winning manager.

“I couldn’t put it into words. Just to have the man in the dressing room, his knowledge, his experience. I’ve met a lot of sportspeople and been around sport a long time, I’ve learned so much from him in just three months. He’s a gentleman and we’re thrilled to have him.”

Moyna also highlighted the character of his DCU players after they bagged 1-1 in injury-time to claim a three-point win over their opponents. Despite being outplayed in the second-half, DCU emerged with the spoils at the finish.

“This team finds a way. There’s great character in the team. We had a bit of luck today but those are the vagaries of sport. We’ll take the louck any way we can get it.”
