1. #EURO2012 Ireland face the Czech Republic in a Euro 2012 warm-up game tonight at the Aviva Stadium. Yesterday, Giovanni Trapattoni named a side led by Robbie Keane who is partnered by Shane Long up front. There is no room in the first XI for Shane Duffy and the in-form James McClean, though the Italian has promised to give the Derry duo a run out.

Trap also indicated that Keane would play in a more withdrawn ‘Totti’ role as he assesses his options in the run up to Euro 2012.

2. #SIX NATIONS Declan Kidney will name his side to face France at lunchtime today. Ireland face Les Bleus on Sunday afternoon in a rearranged fixture. Here’s some of the issues Sean Farrell reckons the coach faces.

3. #EURO2012 There was some good news for those Irish fans planning on makeing the trip east to the aforementioned European Championships yestersday. FAI chief executive John Delaney indicated that the association had secured some 2,00 extra tickets for the three group games in Poland.

4. #REF JUSTICE The GAA last night moved to end the row with referees about match payments. Longford officials voted to strike on Monday night in reaction to Revenue’s new guidelines which would affect the money they recieve for referiing games.

Croke Park chiefs last night insisted there would be futher talks with tax chiefs and payments to refs would remain the same in the meantime.

5. #BANNED Dereck Chisora has been handed an indefinite ban and heavy fine by the World Boxing Council following his behaviour before and after his heavyweight title fight with Vitali Klitschko earlier this month.

6. #ON SONG Shane Duffy last night treated the Ireland squad to The Foundations’ Build Me Up Buttercup for his squad initiation song last night in Malahide. And it wasn’t pretty… watch it here.
