Stuart Olding returns for Ulster after 10 months out through injury

The Ireland international has not featured since last March.

AFTER TEN MONTHS out with injury, Stuart Olding will make his first senior appearance with Ulster after being named among the backs for their trip to Treviso on Saturday afternoon.

Olding has been out since last March when he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury against Cardiff and is one of seven changes from the side that hammered Oyonnax in the Champions Cup last weekend.

Olding will line out in midfield alongside Darren Cave, while the back three will comprise of Craig Gilroy, Rory Scholes and fullback Louis Ludik.

In the forwards, Rob Herring has been released from Ireland duty and will captain the side from hooker in the absence of Rory Best.

He’s joined in the front row by Callum Black — who replaces Kyle McCal at loosehead — while Ricky Lutton continues in the number three jersey.

Franco van der Merwe will continue his second row partnership with Alan O’Connor but Roger Wilson and Clive Ross are elevated to the starting XV and will be joined in the back row by Sean Reidy.

Kick-off at the Stadio Monigo is at 5pm on Saturday.
