Five-time Tipp champions Burgess-Duharra add Munster title to collection

There was disappointment for Inniscarra and Rena Buckley.

TIPPERARY CHAMPIONS BURGESS-DUHARRA have added the Munster title to their trophy cabinet after an emphatic victory over Inniscarra at Cahir this afternoon.

After dethroning Milford in Cork, Inniscarra were unable to replicate their exploits in the provincical final as Burgess-Duharra delivered a clinical performance.

Eimear McDonnell’s 18th minute goal set them on their way and after establishing a seven-point lead at the break, Burgess-Duharra then sealed victory through Tara Kennedy’s late goal.

Earlier in the day, Gailltír lifted the Munster intermediate camogie championship for the first time after a dramatic one-point victory over Nenagh Éire Óg of Tipperary.

The Waterford club edged the contest 1-15 to 4-5 in a thrilling final in Cahir with captain and player of the match Patricia Jackman leading from the front with 1-9.
