Mayo travel to Donegal on Sunday afternoon and manager Stephen Rochford has been able to strengthen his defence for the game.

Captain Keith Higgins returns at left corner-back for his first start of the league campaign. Higgins did come on as a substitute last time out against Dublin.

In another boost for Mayo, Lee Keegan is selected at right half-back after missing the Dublin game following the concussion he suffered in the opening round against Cork.

Caolan Crowe and Donal Vaughan are the players replaced as Mayo seek their first points of the 2016 Allianz Division 1 football league campaign.

Jason Gibbons is also named to start at midfield having withdrawn before throw-in against Dublin with Michael Hall stepping in on that occasion.
