FOR THE SECOND week in-a-row, Tyrone goalkeeper Niall Morgan landed a superb point from play.
While it hasn’t been the best of starts to the 2019 National Football League after back-to-back defeats to Kerry and Mayo, Mickey Harte’s men finally got a point on the board after a comeback draw over Roscommon yesterday.
From seven points down, the Red Hand battled back to level matters at Dr Hyde Park and it was Morgan who hit the all-important score to secure a draw.
Handy from the dead ball but now making his scoring impact felt from play, the Edendork star notched a brilliant point at Healy Park in last week’s defeat to Mayo, but yesterday’s effort was slightly more spectacular.

On the ball well outside the Roscommon ’45, he took one look at the target with 66 minutes on the clock, pulled the trigger and split the posts in stunning fashion.
There was further late drama how and ever, as the Rossies were denied a late, potentially match-winning free-kick after an incident involving Morgan.
Gary Patterson was fouled right before the posts deep into injury time, but referee Noel Mooney overturned his decision after Tyrone’s number one took to the ground implying that he was hit off the ball.
The Division 1 clash finished 1-10 a-piece.
