PRESIDENT MICHAEL D Higgins joined a host of Irish sporting stars in paying tribute to Robbie Keane on the night of his final appearance for Ireland.

The 36-year-old bows out of international football after tonight’s friendly against Oman, and eir Sport produced this fitting tribute video for their pre-match coverage.

Brian O’Driscoll, Pádraig Harrington, Alan Brogan and Paul O’Connell are among those to pay tribute and thank Ireland’s leading goalscorer for 18 years of service.
