Taylor disappointed, as Tevez flees to Argentina
PFA CHIEF EXECUTIVE Gordon Taylor has spoken of his disappointment upon learning that Carlos Tevez has failed to report back to training at Man City.
Tevez was supposed to be back in training today, but instead took a trip to Argentina yesterday.
Speaking to the BBC, Taylor said Tevez was “in danger of burning bridges rather than reconciliation”.
Tevez has recently confirmed he would not oppose a misconduct charge following an allegation that he refused to play in City’s Champions League game against Bayern Munich, while City had also threatened him with a four-week fine.
Meanwhile, Tevez’s agent, Paul McCarthy, told Sky Sports News:
Tevez has been widely tipped to leave City in the January transfer window, after he failed in his efforts to secure a move away from the club over the summer.
