IT TOOK WES Hoolahan just nine minutes to make an impact in his first pre-season game for Norwich City last night, as the Canaries prepare for life back in the Championship following last season’s relegation from the Premier League.
Returning to action for the first time since playing for Ireland at Euro 2016, Hoolahan netted early in a 3-0 win over Coventry City in a friendly at Carrow Road.
It was the 34-year-old playmaker’s first goal since he gave Ireland the lead against Sweden in their tournament opener at the Stade de France. Just like that one, this strike was a bit special.
