THE WINNER OF the annual RTÉ Sportsperson of the Year prize will be announced tonight, with 12 nominees shortlisted.

Reigning world champion Katie Taylor, British Open and USPGA winner Rory McIlroy and Irish outhalf Jonathan Sexton are among those who will fancy their chances on the 12-strong shortlist.
